An Allegro account uses your email and a verified phone number. The phone receives security codes for sign-ins and account changes, and it is passed to carriers so they can contact you about deliveries. Allegro is built for local numbers in each country it serves.

Parcel lockers need your phone

Many Allegro orders go to parcel lockers, where the pickup code is sent by text or shown in the carrier's app, tied to the phone on the order. If that number has lapsed, collecting the parcel becomes a support case. For orders, use a number that will work until the parcel is in your hands.

The fake payment page scam

The most common scam against sellers, on Allegro Lokalnie and on other classifieds sites, works like this. A "buyer" says they have paid through Allegro and sends a link, often by WhatsApp or text, to "confirm" or "receive" the payment. The page looks like Allegro and asks for your card number, expiry date and CVV, sometimes an SMS code from your bank. That data is used to take money from your account.

To receive money on Allegro you do not enter card details. Payouts go to the bank account in your settings. Check any payment in your Allegro account, never through a link.

Stay inside Allegro

Allegro Protect and payment protection work when you buy and pay through Allegro. A seller who wants to move the conversation to a messenger, or asks for a direct bank transfer outside the system, takes you out of that protection. Business sellers

Business accounts provide company details such as the tax ID and are verified. Buyers see whether they are dealing with a business, which affects their consumer rights. A phone number is part of the contact details, not a substitute for that verification.

Codes are for you only

Allegro sends security codes when you sign in from a new device or change important settings. A buyer, a seller or "Allegro support" asking you for one is trying to get into your account. Allegro does not ask for codes by phone or messenger.

When the code does not arrive

In order of how often each one is the real cause:

1. The code did not arrive
   Check the number and country code, wait and request again. Local numbers work best.
2. A buyer sent a link to receive payment
   It is a scam. Check payments in your Allegro account only.
3. You cannot collect a locker parcel
   The pickup code goes to the phone on the order. Contact the carrier if the number changed.
4. A seller wants payment outside Allegro
   Decline. You would lose buyer protection.
5. Someone asks for your Allegro code
   Refuse. It would give them your account.
