Why SNKRS wants a verified number

Limited sneaker releases attract automated entries. Resellers run many accounts with scripts to raise their odds, and each extra account is another ticket in the draw. Nike's answer includes a verified mobile number for every account that enters a SNKRS launch, because a real number costs something to get and is tied to a person.

You can shop on nike.com and in the Nike app without adding a number. The requirement appears when you try to enter a draw.

One person, one entry
